Fr. Joseph thanks everyone who participated in the informative Estate Planning Seminar on March 13. On behalf of the Planned Giving Office of the Archdiocese, we would like to thank everyone who attended the Estate Planning Seminar. It was a big success, as we had about 15 attendees for the 1pm English Seminar and about 30 attendees for the 7pm Spanish Seminar. All the attendees were also given pamphlets that provided important information and guidance on estate planning, will and trust. For those who were unable to attend and maybe interested in a consultation with an estate planning attorney and/or financial advisor, please contact Vilma in the parish office.

On Wednesday, March 13, St. Clement Church will host two estate planning seminars, at 1:00 p.m. in English, and 7:00 p.m. Spanish. Our guest presenters will be members from the Planned Giving Office at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, an estate planning attorney and a financial advisor. Topics to cover include: How to prepare for Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorney, and considerations for charitable gift planning, as well as Catholic teaching on healthcare decisions, and legal steps required to safeguard your property, homes and businesses. Also included is guardianship of minors and special needs children. You will learn about probate procedures, court costs and how to avoid those costs. Individuals and couples who attend will receive free materials for planning a Will. If you want to learn how to create a Will and the costs involved please attend. If you need to update your existing plan, please make an effort to join us for this important seminar. This is a free seminar and no solicitations will be made. Admission is free, but sign up in the church or at the parish office.

Durante el mes de marzo, la Iglesia San Clement tendrá dos seminarios de testamentos (1:00 p.m. en Inglés y 7:00 p.m. en Español) el miércoles, 13 de marzo. Nuestros presentadores invitados serán miembros de la Oficina de Donaciones Planificadas de la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles, un abogado de planificación patrimonial y un asesor financiero. Los temas cubiertos incluyen: Cómo prepararse para testamentos, fideicomisos, poderes y consideraciones para la planificación de donaciones caritativas. Enseñanza católica sobre decisiones de atención médica, pasos legales necesarios para salvaguardar su propiedad, hogares y negocios. Tutela de menores y niños con necesidades especiales. Aprenderá sobre los procedimientos sucesorios, los costos judiciales y cómo evitar esos costos. Las personas y parejas que asistan recibirán materiales gratuitos para planificar un testamento.
